Come, Thou Fount, of Every Blessing
Instrumentation: SSATB, 2 Organ
Duration: ca. 4' 27"
Released: Brendan Child Music | 2022
Program Note
Originally written in around 1758, Come, Thou Fount, of Every Blessing was written as a reminder to Robert Robinson's congregation that we are constantly relying on the Grace of God in our lives. In 1 Samuel 7:12, the Prophet Samuel raises a stone (which he named Ebenezer) saying, "hitherto hath the Lord helped us." The same way Samuel raised his "Ebenezer" to the Lord in remembrance of the many ways he has received grace from God, we can raise up our hearts, minds, and voices, all in remembrance of the divine.

This arrangement was commissioned by the Layton Utah YSA Stake Choir and was performed in October, 2022.
